Teerthanker Mahaveer University, recognized as the premier private university in Uttar Pradesh, was founded through an ‘Act’ (No. 30) enacted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2008. This establishment received approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the same year, as indicated in letter No. F. 9-31/2008 (CPP-1) dated October 2008.
